How it works

Feed your plants every time you water

Fertigation means delivering nutrients through your irrigation water. Hoffgreen's EZ-FLO systems do it automatically — no power, no pumps, no measuring. Here's how the whole thing works.

The basics

What is fertigation?

Instead of spreading granules or mixing up a watering can, fertigation dissolves nutrients into the water your plants already receive. Every watering becomes a light, even feed.

The EZ-FLO tank sits inline with your tap or irrigation. As water flows past, it draws a small, steady dose of liquid or water-soluble fertiliser out of the tank — powered by water pressure alone.

No electricity or pumps — it runs on your existing water pressure.
Even, gentle feeding — nutrients reach the whole root zone, not just the surface.
Set and forget — refill occasionally, and it feeds all season.

Three simple steps

From tap to thriving garden

There's nothing to measure and nothing to plug in. Setup takes minutes.

1

Connect

Attach the tank to your garden tap with a tap connector, or into your irrigation mainline with a CBV valve sized to your pipe.

2

Fill

Pour in any liquid or water-soluble fertiliser. Pick a tank size that matches how often you'd like to refill.

3

Feed as you water

Turn on the water and set your feed rate. The system doses nutrients evenly, then tops up with plain water when the tank empties.

You're in control

Dial in the right feed rate

An adjustable cap sets how strongly the tank feeds — so you can match the season and the plant.

The right connector

How you connect depends on where you're feeding from.

CBV valve
Match the valve to your irrigation mainline pipe size for a secure fit.
Tap connector
Choose a connector that suits your garden tap.

The right tank size

Any tank works on any property — bigger tanks just mean fewer refills.

Smaller tanks
Great if you don't mind topping up more often.
Larger tanks
Less maintenance and longer feeding between refills.

The right feed rate

The adjustable cap controls how much fertiliser enters the water.

Slow
Steady, low-dose feeding over the long term.
Medium / Fast
More nutrients for maintenance or a growth-season boost.

Common questions

Good to know

Do I need power or a pump?

No. The system runs entirely on your existing water pressure, so there's nothing to wire in and nothing to run.

What fertiliser can I use?

Any liquid or fully water-soluble fertiliser. Because feeding is gentle and even, you avoid the burn risk of heavy granular applications.

Will it work with my irrigation?

Yes — connect to a garden tap with a tap connector, or into an irrigation mainline with a CBV valve matched to your pipe size.

How often do I refill?

That depends on tank size and feed rate. Larger tanks and slower rates mean longer between refills — many gardeners top up every few weeks.
